Nothing changes if nothing changes…

As a nonpartisan Lieutenant Governor and President of the State Senate, I can focus the Senate on the issues that matter to Nevadans while free of partisan agendas. #PeopleOverParty

ABOUT ME
I am a 34-year Nevada resident and a Boulder City High School and UNLV graduate. From 1996 – 2020 I worked with students studying the Constitution through the competitive "We the People..." program. Professionally – I have enjoyed extraordinary opportunities in Nevada as a Congressional Aide assisting constituents with Medicare and Social Security issues. And later as a regulator in professional licensing for the state. I had a break from professional life from 2006 to 2013 to focus on recovery from gambling addiction. In 2014 I founded my own consulting company providing public affairs and lobbying focusing on mental health, addiction, social justice, and professional & occupational licensing. I've served as a lobbyist full-time in every legislative session since 2017.
Nothing changes if nothing changes; I am a low-nonsense solution-oriented person who is adept at complex problem-solving. Since 1998 – I've been working to solve personal and public problems against a system that doesn't innovate. I enjoyed early success tempered by the ravages of addiction. I take responsibility for my life and my actions.
In recovery, I learned the value of brutal honesty. The truth isn't always pretty – and we need people like me who can face the brutality of undertreated mental health and addiction with compassion and big-picture solutions. Also, we need candidates like me to stand up to show the people that recovery is possible, that stigma can be overcome, and that people have always had the power.
I see billions of dollars coming into this state (through ARPA) and NO focus or plan for using that money to make a substantial, sustainable investment in empowering all Nevadans to weather an uncertain future. And this will be a significant issue in the next legislature in 2023.
“Mental health does not discriminate based on party, and that's why I'm running as a nonpartisan for Lieutenant Governor - so all Nevada voices can be heard.”
